Our participants should be motivated to engage, share, and learn in an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment.
Beyond this event, they will also become part of a growing neuroscience Young PI community that fosters peer-support and the building of research resilience.
You are eligible to apply if you are:
- a researcher within the broad fields of Neuroscience, AND
- an early-career researcher or group leader within 10 years of establishing research independence.
- senior postdocs transitioning to independence may also apply.

- Please note that the symposium has a maximum capacity of 50 participants.
- Should the number of applications exceed our capacity, a selection process will be carried out.
- We will try our best to establish a group of motivated participants with diverse backgrounds and skills, who are eager to contribute and learn.
- Successful applicants will be notified shortly after registration deadline.
- Any unselected applications will be reserved on a waiting list.
- Should there be space after registration deadline, registration will remain open until we have reached capacity.
- At registration, participants must agree to pay the registration fee (see below) within 2 weeks after confirmation of registration. Payment information will be provided upon successful application. We reserve the right to revoke a confirmed registration in the event of failed payment.
Registration fee:
- The registration fee is €50, which covers refreshments, lunch and dinner.
- Please note that accommodation and travel are not covered; however we are aiming to reduce/subsidize the cost of accommodation with generous sponsorships.
- We have reserved a limited number of rooms at Hotel Gargallo Rialto at a special rate (See Accommodation). Please indicate your interest at registration.
- We aim to offer registration waiver/reimbursement to participants from underrepresented groups. Declaration is required at registration.
