The second Young PI Symposium, taking place one day ahead of FENS 2026, will focus on building resilience among early-career neuroscience researchers and fostering young PI (Principal Investigator) community. After the kick-off meeting in Vienna in 2024, this symposium‘s agenda will focus on dialogues among young PIs concerning their vision for the future of neuroscience in Europe, the UK, and globally. Academia is becoming increasingly complex, competitive, and unpredictable, and young PIs establishing independence are particularly vulnerable to these challenges. This timely event will provide an ideal platform for young PIs to come together and build a strong, long-lasting and sustainable network through training and skill development. By facilitating open dialogue, training and collaboration, this symposium will empower the current and next generation of neuroscientists, ensuring that their voices are heard and their contributions recognized in shaping a brighter future.
